Developing the Leadership Bench:
What Got Us Here Won't Get Us There
We live in a VUCA world (volatile, uncertain, complex and adaptive). This increasing complexity changes the game of leading as well as the profile of successful leadership. Faced with shortages of leadership talent, time and resources, we in HR must re-think our approaches to developing the leadership bench. What mind-set, skill set and practices are needed to tackle this challenge and deliver the right leaders in the right roles at the right time? For one perspective, join Kirk Froggatt who currently splits his time between Agilent Technologies where he is Director, Organization Effectiveness and Leadership Supply and the University of Minnesota where he holds the Gemini Chair in Technology Management. Previously Kirk was Vice President of Human Resources for Yahoo! and Silicon Graphics as well as Vice President, Global Talent and Organization Development for Agilent Technologies. Please bring your own experiences, insights and questions to the dialogue and help make this a very interactive exchange.
